Why Five07?

FIVE07 exists to support creativity and community. It represents the intersection of community, art, music, food and drink. Where details meet big picture; right meets left; creative meets analytic.

The name represents the 5 steps to creating something of importance:

Inspiration | Build-Up | Resistance | Overcome | Collaboration

7 days a week, we seek to serve as that space + that inspiration for the community to come together and create the best life possible.

All the while, we also strive each day to create the best food/drink + experience possible.

FIVE STEPS, SEVEN DAYS A WEEK. FIVE07.

THE FIVE CREATIVE STEPS PARALLEL OUR OWN JOURNEY TO OPENING

INSPIRATION | why doesn’t Thousand Oaks have a space for the community to come together day and night?

BUILD UP |  the ideas came fast and furious; smoothies, craft coffee, latte art, live music, tons of excitement!

RESISTANCE | the struggle to acquire funding, find the right location, bring on the right team.

OVERCOMING | a combination of investors and competitive line of credit allow us to make the leap. This was the most exciting, but also the most frightening step of them all. It is truly taking a leap away from one’s comfort zone.

COLLABORATION | success is only possible with the help of others who are on similar paths. For us it was coffee roasters, artists and architects.

Our Founders

Five07 was founded by Sean and Amber. They were engaged on opening day, but became husband and wife on May 11th, 2018. Growing up in the area, there was never anywhere to study or meet up with friends with the right energy. This was their inspiration in opening the space, to allow all generation the community space that Thousand Oaks needed.

Our Philosophy

We seek to source ingredients that fuel the body, in addition to tasting great. We not only prioritize organic whenever possible, but also local whenever possible, which is important not only for our individual health, but also for the health of the environment + local economies.

We are one of the only coffee shops to offer pasture raised raw (non-pasteurized) milk as well as prioritize removing seed oils from our kitchen. Our kitchen only uses olive oil, avocado oil, coconut oil, and butter in preparation/pan seasoning. Only a few items that we get from outside sources (vegan alternatives) have any inclusion of these inflammatory ingredients, with even these being in moderation. We LOVE when y’all check in with us on ingredients to see what’s currently organic/fitting with your dietary needs.
